Chirstmas Angel Comes Early

Friend to Hale Makua, Rick Hartman, approached us last year at holiday time and brought gifts for the residents while visiting with his family on Christmas Day to spread the joy of the season.
Last week Rick came back to say he wanted to do it again this year and also wanted to take on another special project. So I asked if he could build us planter boxes. He built the beautiful boxes and asked his friend Leihua to paint beautiful hearts on them. He came in with the cinders and the soil and it doesn’t end there! He’s looking into putting a drip line in back so that the plants will be well taken care of. Rick is our ‘Christmas Angel’ and we are so happy he adopted us. He has a heart of gold!
