75th Anniversary Golf Tournament

Presented by Ohana Pacific Health, Hale Makua held a benefit golf tournament at the Wailea Blue Golf course on Saturday, July 24, 2021. Fun games, food, and beverages were scattered throughout the golf course, and top tournament winners received some coveted prizes including roundtrip tickets on Southwest Airlines, a Yeti cooler, and gift cards for various local businesses.
The tournament was in celebration of Hale Makua’s 75-year legacy of providing care and a home for individuals who can no longer care for themselves, and funds generated from the event will help provide assistance to those who are unable to afford the cost of services. As a non-profit organization, Hale Makua provides over a million dollars in uncompensated care to frail elders annually. Typically, Hale Makua holds its signature annual fundraising event, Kokua for Kupuna, to raise funds for those that are unable to pay for the full cost of services. Due to the pandemic, the Kokua for Kupuna event has been cancelled since last year, and this year was replaced by the 75th Anniversary Golf Tournament.
