Christmas Companionship

Photo%20web

Residents and care partners worked together this month to decorate a Christmas tree in the dining room at Wailuku campus. Residents helped continue a treasured holiday tradition and everyone enjoyed “good company and laughter” said Wailuku Activities Director Thaedra Aiyana-Pascarella. In the photo, resident Dolly Villarimo and care partner Kat Souza hang ornaments and share a laugh.

This story illustrates Eden Alternative Principles 3 “Loving companionship is the antidote to loneliness. Elders deserve easy access to human and animal companionship” and 6 ”Meaningless activity corrodes the human spirit. The opportunity to do things that we find meaningful is essential to human health. ”
