In a world where people now settle and live longer, aging gracefully, you are exceptional. You know who you are and have the kind of integrity others admire with great respect. You have especially touched my life with great triumph.
The ability and knowledge given to me and others through your teaching have continuously guided me in positive ways. I am luck to have found Adult Day Health by Hale Makua, where my family feels I am safe under the care of a loving staff. Such as Renee Akina, Amparo Lucas, Lisa Banchiran, Myrna Aconoy, Racquel Custer, and Tina Ugale. I am treated with great respect. They allow me to share my knowledge such as Mah Jong, dominos, ti leaf weaving, etc. with fellow members. The day flies by only to be stopped for a bathroom break, snacks, lunchtime, and a short siesta.
The miracle of God’s love has found a special someone like Renee Akina (our supervisor and nurse) who makes sure that we are taken care of everyday. She and her staff treat us with respect and allow us to explore and challenges us to grow. They also make sure we are in top shape through exercises, physically and spiritually.
My the lord bless you in accomplishing your goals so that we was patients can each day live and tell our loved ones how special Hale Makua is.
Another blessing I appreciate is the transportation by MEO that brings me such a long way everyday. They pick me up at Kula Hawaiian Homes and deliver me to my doorstep every evening.
“Meke Aloha, Aina Ole” MAHALO!
