This past Saturday, August 20th, Hale Makua staff joined the over 1,300 walkers who came out to the Visitor Industry Charity Walk at the War Memorial Field. After the long walk around Kahului, walkers returned to the field to enjoy some live music and ono breakfast provided by hotels and local businesses. 

The Maui Charity Walk raised a whopping $960,000 this year, and top fundraisers were announced at the event. Hale Makua took second place for the "Non-profit Raising the Most Funds", with $111,420 raised! Hale Makua was able to raise these remarkable numbers thanks to the generous donors, supporters, and businesses throughout the year who made contributions through fundraisers, events, and general donations.
