Katz Souza Celebrates 30 Years of Service at Hale Makua

Kathleen “Katz” Souza has dedicated 30 years to Hale Makua since she first started in 1990 as a Nursing Assistant/Trainee. She currently serves as Restorative Aide (CNA), and has been in this role for almost 23 years.
As a Restorative Aide (CNA), Katz directs and aids residents with their exercises, ambulation activities, and activities of daily living skills. She is a team player and is often seen helping out in other the Activities department or on the nursing neighborhoods when there is a need. Staff describe her as supportive and flexible with a fun personality. She is known to initiate ideas in order to solve problems at hand. She has built bonds with many of the residents, and helps to make a difference in their day to day lives.
