On November 21st, Hale Makua Wailuku staff and residents came out in force to thank Brian Sato and his friends Mike and Traci Silva for their overwhelming support and dedication to raising funds for items on Hale Makua Wailuku residents’ wish list. Earlier in September this year, Brian completed a solo walk around the island in order to raise funds to buy Hale Makua Wailuku residents a new, large, flat screen TV and other items from their wish list, such as paper lanterns for our annual bon dance, Maui Ocean Center passes, movie tickets, and a hearing aide
Brian first started off by collecting gifts to give to residents at both campuses who don’t have family to bring them Christmas presents. His tradition of donating Christmas gifts to Hale Makua residents is now in its sixth year.
