Every week Irene Ryding from Harp Music for All Occasions comes to play her harp for the residents in the Ilima Neighborhood. When she realized how much resident George Ishii not only loved listening to her play, but also wanted to play too, she brought him a harp of his own so he could play along with her.
This Demonstrates Eden Alternative Principle 5: An Elder-centered community imbues daily life with variety and spontaneity by creating an environment in which unexpected and unpredictable interactions and happenings can take place. This is the antidote to boredom.
