Julia Young is the new Activities Director at Wailuku, and she comes to us from the Ritz-Carlton in Kapalua where she worked as the Meetings and Special Events Manager. There she was responsible for executing high-end events for many types of clients who were planning events such as weddings, corporate group functions, and special programs. Julia holds a Bachelors in Event Management with an emphasis on global studies.

Julia considers herself a “total tree hugger”. On her days off you can be sure to find her either hiking, foraging, paddle boarding, helping animals, and drawing with charcoal. She also does community outreach and educational events to honor local culture and share with the community about our balance with nature. She also enjoys spending time with her husband Nate and her fur kids (two cats named Bearcat and Sweet P).

Julia is happy to be here at Hale Makua and says, “I’m excited to connect with the community and be a part of something important.”
